How to read a fish oil label
Find the nutrition table
Look for EPA and DHA in milligrams, per capsule or per daily dose. “Fish oil” or “marine oil” is the whole oil, not the omega-3 in it.
Add EPA and DHA together
The heart claim is based on 250 mg of EPA and DHA a day; the brain and vision claims on 250 mg of DHA a day.
Then work out the cost per day
Divide the price by the number of days the pack lasts. The checker below does both sums for you.

How many do I take?

What is it made from?
Omega-3 fatty acid concentrate from anchovies, mackerel, sardines and tuna, plus salmon oil. The capsule is gelatine, with glycerol and natural mixed tocopherols (vitamin E) to keep the oil fresh.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
No. It is fish oil in a gelatine capsule.
Can children take it?
The label says to keep it out of the reach of children and gives no children’s dose, so we don’t sell it for children.
I’m pregnant, breastfeeding or take medication. Can I take it?
