8 things to know

01

Four formulas in one sachet

Each sachet holds four soft capsules: Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates, Carotenoid Complex, Omega-3 Plus and an Essential Vitamin and Mineral Complex. Thirty sachets make a month.

02

It’s convenience, not a bundle discount

One capsule of each formula is less than a full-size daily dose of each product. You’re paying for one simple routine, and we won’t pretend otherwise.

22 vitamins and minerals, with real amounts

From 15% to 384% of the reference intake per sachet, including 10 µg of vitamin D, the amount the NHS suggests from October to March. Vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and selenium contribute to the normal function of the immune system.**

Omega-3 from fish

380 mg of omega-3 per sachet, including 153 mg EPA and 160 mg DHA. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart.* The benefit comes from 250 mg a day.

Everyday energy

Riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folate, vitamin C and iron contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.**

Swap, don’t stack

Vitamins B6, B12 and thiamin are already well over 100% of the reference intake, so it usually replaces a multivitamin rather than joining one. Use the free checklist to add up what you take.

What it costs

About £1.79 a day on subscription (£53.55 a month), or £59.50 bought once. A plain multivitamin is cheaper; this is for people who want the omega-3 and the rest in one go.

Who it isn’t for

Not vegetarian or vegan (gelatine, fish oil), not gluten-free (wheat germ oil), and not for fish, wheat or soya allergies, children, or pregnancy, because its vitamin A is retinol. On a blood thinner such as warfarin, or other medication? Ask your GP or pharmacist first.

* The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. One sachet provides 313 mg (153 mg EPA, 160 mg DHA). ** One sachet provides at least 30% of the nutrient reference value for each vitamin and mineral named; amounts are in the table.

Questions

What’s in each sachet?

Four capsules, one from each NeoLife formula: Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates, Carotenoid Complex, Omega-3 Plus, and an Essential Vitamin and Mineral Complex with 22 vitamins and minerals. Thirty sachets to a box.

Are they tablets?

No. All four are soft gelatine capsules, one from each formula, in a sealed sachet.

How do I take it?

One sachet a day with a meal. Take all four capsules together. Don’t exceed the recommended daily dose.

Is it the same as buying the four products separately?

No. Each sachet holds one capsule of each formula, which is a smaller daily amount than the full-size products. It’s a convenience product rather than a bundle discount, and we won’t present it as one.

Can I take it with my other supplements?

Check the labels first. It already gives 200% of the reference intake for vitamin D and well over 100% for vitamins B6, B12 and thiamin, so it usually replaces a multivitamin rather than going on top of one. If in doubt, ask a pharmacist.

Is it vegetarian or gluten-free?

Neither. The capsules are gelatine and one contains fish oil, and the Tre-en-en capsule contains wheat germ oil, so it isn’t gluten-free. It also contains soya.

Can I take it if I’m pregnant or on medication?

Ask your GP, midwife or pharmacist first. That’s especially important with a blood thinner such as warfarin, because it contains vitamin K and fish oil.
