Cook with rice bran oil? It’s the main oil in Tre-en-en.
Rice bran oil makes up 31% of each capsule, alongside soybean and wheat germ oils. Here’s how a capsule compares with the oil in your pan.

The pan and the capsule
You’re already using grain oil
A teaspoon of rice bran oil is about 4.5 g of oil. Three Tre-en-en capsules are about 2 g.
Why a capsule, then?
Tre-en-en blends three grain oils with wheat germ and rice bran powder, in a measured amount that isn’t heated in cooking.
If you’re happy with your cooking oil
You may not need Tre-en-en at all. That’s a perfectly good answer.

No promises. Just the label.
- Everything that’s in it is on this page: three grain oils, the capsule, and the amounts.
- There are no authorised UK health claims for grain lipids and sterols, and the fatty-acid claims need far more than three capsules give. So we don’t make any.
- If it isn’t for you, NeoLife’s satisfaction guarantee covers it.

Questions
Why is it called Tre-en-en?
It means “three in one”: oils from three plants, wheat, rice and soy, in one capsule. NeoLife describes the oils as cold-pressed.
How many do I take, and how long does a tub last?
One to three capsules a day with water, as the label says, and no more than three. 120 capsules last four months at one a day, two months at two, about six weeks at three. Pro Vitality+, Formula IV and Formula IV Plus also contain Tre-en-en, so if you take one of those we suggest counting it towards the three.
What is it made from?
Rice bran oil, soybean oil and wheat germ oil, with a little wheat germ and rice bran powder, in a gelatine capsule. Made by Eurocaps Ltd in Runcorn, UK.
Allergens: gluten, soya, vegetarian?
It contains wheat, so it isn’t gluten-free or suitable with coeliac disease or a wheat allergy, and soya. The capsule is gelatine, so it isn’t vegetarian or vegan.
Who should check before taking it?
The label gives no children’s dose, so we don’t sell it for children. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding or take medication, speak to your GP, midwife or pharmacist first.
Which sterols are in it?
NeoLife names compounds that occur naturally in these grain oils, such as beta-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, gamma-oryzanol and octacosanol. The UK label doesn’t give amounts, and we don’t claim anything for them.
Can I cancel the subscription?
Any time, online, in a couple of clicks. No minimum term and no fee. You can also skip a month, change the date or pause.
When will it arrive?
Orders are dispatched from the UK by DPD and usually arrive in about three working days. Free UK delivery on your first subscription order; after that £10 a delivery, or free when the order is over £150.
What if it’s not for me?
NeoLife’s 100% satisfaction guarantee: if you’re not happy with it, send back what’s left and choose a replacement, credit or a full refund of the price you paid. Email us first. How it works
